Crestview, FL – George Richard Catron, Lt. Col. Ret. US Army Aviator, 65, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003. George was born in Odense, KS to William & Dorothy Catron. He graduated from Altoona High School. After his service career, he was employed by McDonnell Douglas/Boeing.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Lou; daughter, Daphne (Jeff) Bowen; sons, William (Lynn) and Richard; three grandchildren; brothers, Darel, Howard & Charles; sisters, Ellen Kramer, Esther Rogers and Linda Green. A memorial service was held April 28 at Brackney Funeral Home Chapel in Crestview followed by private family service with full military honors at Barrancas National Cemetery.
