Shirley A Hindal, 70, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Iowa Methodist Hospital. Shirley was born July 28, 1952, in Albia, IA, to Orville and Marjorie (Brackett) Kellogg.

Shirley worked as a Cashier for Flying J in Altoona, for 9 years, she absolutely loved her job and retired in 2014. Shirley played bingo, and was very good at it. If she was not playing bingo, you would find her playing games on her phone. She specifically enjoyed Candy Crush Saga, a puzzle game that involves making matches of three or more colored candy pieces, which was great entertainment for her.

Shirley’s love for her Shih tzu, Tinker, was endless. Tinker was Shirley’s companion, the two of them were inseparable. Shirley enjoyed life, family members and many friends. She was always there to brighten the lives of others and will be remembered as kind, gentle and loving. Shirley will be missed but not forgotten.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Candy (Jeff) Jackson of Des Moines, IA; son, Rick Danner of Pleasant Hill, IA; seven grandchildren, Amber Woxell, Ryan Jackson, Brandon Alday, Braxton Danner, Brayden Danner, Ricky K Danner, Reese Danner; Great-Grandchild, Katie Buck; Two Sisters, Linda Jacobs, Peggy Reseland; brother, George Kellogg; She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Orville Kellogg, Jr. and sister, Glenda Kellogg.
