Our loving mother was sadly called home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2022.

Patricia Marie Kint (Patty), 65, of Madrid, passed away at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines Iowa. She was born September 2,1956 in Lovilla, Iowa, daughter of David and Mary Ann (Williams) Gordon.

Patty was the youngest of four children. She was born and raised in Lovilla and graduated in Albia’s Class of 1974. Patty married her high school sweetheart, Randy Kint, and together they shared three children.

She worked alongside her mom as a Nurse’s Aide at Monroe County Hospital during her high school years, as well as babysitting for several families in town. After Patty was married in 1975, she moved to Granger and eventually made her home in Madrid. She worked at the Woodward Resource Center for a short time before deciding to become a stay at home mom. She often babysat for families in town that later led to her having an in-home daycare. Patty divorced in 1987, decided to go back to school to get a degree in Medical Transcription, and graduated in 1991. She worked for Broadlawns Medical Center for a number of years before deciding to move on to the Iowa Heart Center at Mercy for 20 years. Most recently, she’d been working at DMOS in Medical Records for the last 8 years.

Patty was a caring daughter, loving mother, the best GRAMS, wonderful sister, and all that knew her were touched by her kind and tenderhearted loving soul. She was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan since early childhood.
Patty is survived by her mother Mary Ann, two brothers Terry Gordon and Larry (Becky) Gordon and one sister Debra Ceglar all of Omaha, Nebraska, her children Todd Kint of Winterset and Amanda (Michael) Farrell of Madrid, grandchildren Randal, Andrew, Steven, Justin, Kaitlynn, Jake, Nicholas, Kaden, Chloe, CJ, Allison and Anna Marie.

She was preceded in death by her father David, nephew Joe and several aunts, uncles and grandparents.

A celebration of Patty’s life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Madrid.
