Obituary

Nick Charles Laybon passed away August 3, 2022, in hospice care at Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born September 17, 1942, in Pearl City, Hawaii. Was an Army Veteran. Worked for the State of Iowa in the data processing department and was given a certificate of recognition from Governor Terry Branstad. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Leona I. Laybon; daughter Mikki Lee R. Solis (husband Mario Solis) their children Cassandra, Roberto, Rafael and Javier; son Nick P. Laybon and his children Anthony, Alyssa (husband Austin Dragoo and their daughter Ellie Grace) Andrew and Ashlyn. A celebration of Nick’s life will be held on the back deck (where he loved to cook and entertain for family and friends) on August 27, 2022.
