John (Jack) Craig Brown went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 22, 2022. Jack was born on July 14, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His family moved to Cape May, New Jersey in 1952. Jack had many fond memories of endless summer days at the beach with family and friends. During this time, he worked with his father in the family plumbing business. Eventually Jack moved to Florida where he entered the real estate appraisal business, which became his lifelong vocation. It was there that Jack became interested and excelled in the game of golf, which he loved and continued to play until the Lord took him home. Jack’s business brought him to Des Moines, Iowa in 1991 where he met his beloved wife, Anne. Jack and Anne were married on November 12, 1994.

Jack loved classic cars. His garage was his second home where, during the last 20 years, he and his “car buddy” Troy spent countless hours reconstructing classic Chevys. Golf and cars were Jack’s hobbies but his main focus was his commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a man of deep faith and love for the Word of God.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Anne, and his sister, Linda Parson (Joe). He is also survived by Anne’s sisters and their husbands Mary and John Mueller, Margie and Dan Kennedy, and many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Paula Brown, his brother, James Brown, and infant brother, Paul Brown.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 29, 10:00 a.m. Both will be held at Saylorville Church, 6429 NW 6th Drive, Des Moines, Iowa 50313.
