Marjorie Mae (Moore) Agan was born on May 25, 1926 near Derby Iowa. Marjorie was the third child of eight born to Jesse and Jessie (Van Note) Moore. She met her "husband to be" while working as a waitress in the White Swan restaurant in Chariton, Iowa. They were married on March 31, 1945 and made their home in Des Moines where they raised four daughters: Sue, Star, Cathy, and Debbie.

Marjorie's husband, Laurel, passed away in 1978. She then went to work for Iowa State University/Polk County Extension Service teaching mothers with young children how to provide nutrition for their families on a tight budget. After 12 1/2 years of devotion, she retired in 1991. She then took to painting pictures from watching Bob Ross videos. She enjoyed traveling, visiting with family, and especially fishing with her siblings.

Marjorie passed away peacefully on June 25, 2022 with Debbie and Cathy at her bedside. She will be lovingly remembered by all that knew her. Surviving family members include: 2 daughters; Cathy (Andy) Eaton, Debbie (Terry) Goepferich: sister Gladys Kreamer: 6 grandchildren; Crista (Michael) Kash, Rick (Gina) Byrkett Jr, Dawn Fidler, Tory (Tracy) Fidler, Amanda Goepferich Johnson, and Jason (Ashleigh) Goepferich: 7 great grandchildren; Katie and Kyle Kash, Austin and Mason Byrkett, Ryder Fidler, Teddy and Arthur Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Laurel Agan, daughters Sue (Agan) Crownover and Star (Agan) Fidler, her parents, 2 brothers Philip and Leonard Moore, and 4 sisters, Louise Udvardy, Frances Moore, Helen Kurovsky and Betty Tiegland.

The family would like to thank the staff at Valley View Village for the care of Marjorie during her residency.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines; following the graveside service there will be a time for gathering and refreshments in the Chapel until 4:00 p.m.
