Wanda S. Tobola, 67, passed away on June 2, 2022 at Every Step Hospice at Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born December 25,1954 in Austin, Texas to Betty and Kenneth Calkins.

She attended Woomera High School in Australia and later graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University. She lived in McAllen Texas for over 30 years where she owned and operated multiple small businesses with her former spouse. She will be remembered for her kindness, beautiful smile and love of animals.

She is survived by her mother; three daughters, Jennifer Gober of Austin, TX, Myka (Josh) Bangert of Springfield, VA, and Angela (David) Ford of Mars Hill, ME; four grandchildren, Madison Bangert of Richmond, VA, Joshua Bangert Jr. of Springfield, VA, Collin Ford and Cooper Ford of Mars Hill, ME; three brothers, Kenneth (Carol) Calkins II and Clifford Calkins II, both of Des Moines, IA, and Christopher (Lori) Calkins of Ankeny, IA; and several nieces and nephews. Internment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens in Des Moines, Iowa.
