Jill Mescher passed away peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2022 after a long and courageous battle. She was surrounded by her friends and family and kept us smiling through the sadness in her final days. She was the most courageous and fearless person we have ever known and she is our angel and our hero. She will always be the world’s best mom, grandma and friend.

Jill loved living with her husband, Bryan, on their acreage and loved being surrounded by the animals and wildlife. She loved flowers and had the most beautiful flower gardens, flower pots and landscaping around their home. She spent every minute she had with her beloved grandchildren, who were her entire world and loved baking all of their favorite things. She has forever left an imprint on their lives and in their hearts, along with everyone she has met. She loved the outdoors and spending time under the shade tree, sitting in the sun on the back deck or sitting by a fire in the patio room. She loved traveling to Colorado and seeing the beautiful mountains and parks. She has instilled the love of the outdoors in all of her loved ones.

In these last few days she has been surrounded by her family, friends and her amazing medical team. Her infectious love and laughter will forever be felt by all of us. Thank you to Madison County Hospital, Dr. Suddarth, the nurses, the CNAs and all the staff for your care, love and kindness, you have provided for her and for the family. We will forever be grateful to you all and remember all that you have done.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Charles Cashatt and her dear Uncle Jack and Aunt Sara. Jill is survived by her loving husband, Bryan, her daughter Jenn Drake (Jason), her son Zach Mescher (Nicole Lockett), her beloved grandchildren, Natalie Drake (Ty Thompson), Callie Drake (Christian Barker), Bodey Drake and Ethan Mescher, family friend Dawn Ward (Mark), her brother Robert Cashatt (Kathy), her sister Julie Carpenter (Kevin) and her loyal dog Zoie along with countless friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and family members who love her dearly.
