Thomas Eugene Garrington, son of William D. and Sharon M. (Asmus) Garrington was born September 25, 1970 in Osceola, Iowa and passed from this life Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at 51 years of age.

Tom, a lifetime resident of Des Moines, graduated from Lincoln High School. He married Heather Isaac and they had two sons, Adam and Matthew, they later divorced. Tom has worked for Methodist Hospital and Embassy Suites in Des Moines.

Tom loved his boys, Matthew and Adam and enjoyed time with them. He was a big sports fan, Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, and Indianapolis Colts. He enjoyed watching movies of all kinds and really enjoyed Star Trek and Star Wars.

Those relatives who preceded Tom in death were his grandfather, John Asmus, and father, William D Garrington.

Tom leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Adam and Matthew Garrington of Des Moines, IA, his mother, Sharon Garrington of Des Moines, IA, grandmother, Goldie Asmus of Osceola, IA, brother, Todd (Shelley) Garrington of Waukee, IA, nephews Tanner, Trey and Tate Garrington, and many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Kale Funeral Home, Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Matthew Sanford officiating.

Tom's family will greet friends an hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.

Interment will follow at the Maple Hill Cemetery
