William "Bill" Joseph Ballalatak passed away in the early morning of February 6, 2022, in Grimes, Iowa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Assumption Catholic Church in Granger.

Bill was born in Knoxville, Iowa on December 21, 1943, to Joseph Ballalatak and Kathryn Welsh. He found his high school sweetheart Elizabeth, at Lovilia High School and they were married February 9th, 1963. Proceeding their marriage, these soulmates created a family with their loving hearts, raising two wonderful daughters. As of February 9th, 2022, they would have been married 59 years. Bill was a hardworking man, working 39 years at Super Valu warehouse and 13 years at Pioneer Hi Bred. He had a way of touching the hearts of everyone he met, and strumming a guitar like it’s never been done before. He was known as someone who could give you the best hugs and the biggest smile, leaving you with warmness in your heart. Bill loved his family and his faith dearly, and now resides in the safe arms of heaven, singing and playing for all of us to hear.

Bill was survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty"; children, Kim (Doug) Conant, and Connie (Roger) Wells; grandchildren, Tyler (Christina) Wells, Nathan (Nicole) Balk, Kyle Wells, Annie Balk, Jensen Conant (Cameron Stone), and Blake Conant; great grandchildren, Becca, Taysom, and William, and brothers, Dean and Gary Ballalatak.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Ballalatak, and sisters-in law, Karen Ballalatak and Dori Ballalatak
