DOUGLAS SHEPARD
Services for Douglas Shepard, 35, of 423 S.E. Ninth St. will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.

Mr. Shepard died at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital Thursday of cancer after a one-year illness.

Born in Allendale, N.D., he had lived in Des Moines for 20 years, working as a welder for various firms.

Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell A. Shepard, all of Des Moines; a brother, Arlin of Minneapolis; three step-brothers, Arthur of Washington state, Jesse of Winlock, N.Y., and Donald of Odebolt; and a step-sister, Mrs. Julie Crouch of Des Moines.
