West Des Moines - Dennis Barclay Midgorden passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, and participated in the Iowa Donor Network.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Rd, Des Moines, IA. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. followed by the services at 2:00 p.m.

Dennis was born to Nelson Douglas and Madeline Dolores (Haworth) Midgorden on September 2, 1965 in Des Moines, IA where he lived all his life. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church. He attended Valley High School and received an Associated degree in Automotive Technology from DMAC in Ankeny, IA.

Dennis was selfless and passionate, caring deeply for his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and baseball, playing little league for years. He had a great love for animals, especially cats and dogs.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Madeline Midgorden; father, Nelson (Doug) Midgorden, sister Kellie Midgorden and many extended family members. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community of Christ Church at 4504 Ashworth Rd, West Des Moines, IA 50265.
