Dean F. Hoover, 85, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Dean was born June 25, 1933, at home in Dallas Center to Glenn and Lillian Hoover. He graduated from Dallas Center High School, and served in the US Army. He moved to Los Angeles, CA, in 1958 where he worked as an appraiser, and played and sang in many bars and clubs. Piano was his passion and he played all of his life.

Dean is survived by his siblings, Dick (Carole) Hoover of Dallas center, Mary Jane (Don) Quick of Las Vegas, NV, and David (Coleen) Hoover of Lenexa, KS; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother and sister-in-law, Don and Muriel Hoover.
