Frank Amato, aged 18, was drowned at Des Moines while swimming in the Des Moines river.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1893 and died Aug. 2, 1916 – this does not agree with the above age. He is buried in St. Ambrose Cemetery.
