Des MoinesRev. Ha Baccam, 70, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue. Burial will take place at the Tai Dam section of Glendale Cemetery.
Pastor Baccam was born September 1, 1941 in Sonla, Vietnam. He was a long time Associate Pastor at the Des Moines Mennonite Church. He enjoyed raising tropical fish, doing Bible translations, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nang La Baccam; his children, Kenny Kikeo Baccam, Sonya Baccam Streit, Samantha S. Huynh, Cynthia Baccam Vercher, Salaphay Papsidero and Kikone Jay Baccam; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Pastor Baccam touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew him.
