Constance Raye Jones(Connie) was born February 24, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa, the ninth child to George and Geraldine McKay.

She graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1967.

She was united in marriage to William Jones, January 1, 1970. She loved William deeply, and loved being married for 42 years.

Baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses August 21, 1965, she was a teacher of Gods holy word the bible, and enjoyed sharing its message with others. She was a loyal, loving daughter, wife, sister and friend to many. We were blessed to have her in our lives. She will be deeply missed. We look forward to welcoming her back to a paradise earth.

We all have beautiful memories of Connie, her sense of humor and her laughter. She was always concerned about others and how they were doing. She enjoyed shopping with her family and friends and going to her "special stores" and finding bargains galore.

Connie was family oriented, who had a special relationship with her mother and called her daily. She enjoyed the company of her many nieces and nephews and would spend time with them when they would come to visit. She retired from EDS about eight years ago and began working part time as a caregiver for Metro Care. She bonded with many of the youngsters there. She retired from this position to care for her husband, who is dealing with multiple myeloma until she herself was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer September 13, 2011.

Connie departed this life January 30, 2012, at Hospice Care in Johnston, Iowa.

Connie was preceded in death by her father George McKay, and sister Mildred Henderson.

Left to cherish her memory her mother Geraldine McKay and her eight surviving siblings Leonna Clayburn, Denver, Colorado, Angela (Vennis) Lewis, Denver, Colorado, Christine Jordan, Denver, Colorado, Wiley (Terri) McKay, Denver, Colorado, Geraldine(Prince) Baker, San Antonio, Texas, George III (Barbara) McKay, Des Moines, Iowa, Michael (Carlotta) McKay, Des Moines, Iowa, Ramona (Preston) Moore, Des Moines, Iowa. A host of nieces and nephews who loved her deeply.

A Memorial Service for Connie will be on Monday February 6, at 1:30 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1385 Buffalo Rd. West Des Moines IA, 50265.
