Maxine V. Amodeo, 76, passed away January 12, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Maxine will be remembered as a strong, loving, and compassionate person who was deeply devoted to family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Amodeo; parents, Frederick and Ethel Meisters and brother, Gene Meisters.

Maxine is survived by her children, John (Shirley) Calvert, Renee (Steve) Anderson and Herk (Karen) Calvert, all of Des Moines; twelve grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces, Mary (Jim) Hague of Las Vegas, NV and Terry (Rick) Greene of Des Moines; nephews, David (Madge) Meisters of Mitchellville and Phillip (Kathy) Meisters of Tulsa, OK and a brother, Fred (Evelyn) Meisters of Tulsa, OK.
