Carla M. Ault, 68, of Sheffield, IA died Saturday, January 7, 2012, at the Sheffield Care Center. She was born on June 2, 1943 in Des Moines to Frank and Odena (Hick) Ault, grew up in Elkhart, IA and lived in Des Moines most of her life. Carla was an organ and piano teacher in Des Moines for 41 years and Stage Assistant and Show Coordinator of Bill Riley's Iowa State Fair Talent Search for 40 years. During her working career, she worked for 24 years in the music business, 12 years in the insurance business, was owner of a home secretarial service and worked for a non-profit organization.

Carla is survived by her brother, Robert (Peggy) Ault of Elkhart; Niece, Stephanie (Ault) Reynolds and Great-Niece, Wrigley Reynolds of Elkhart; Nephew, Brian Ault of Ankeny; and other extended family members and friends. Carla's wish was to be cremated. She will be laid to rest at Cory Grove Cemetery; Elkhart, IA at a later date.
