Eli Galinsky, 85 of Urbandale Iowa, died Saturday, January 28th peacefully at Veteran's Hospital. Eli was a fixture in the down town Des Moines Area as the Owner of the Pickle Barrel deli on 6th and University for many years. Eli also proudly served his country as a WWII Navy veteran.

Eli is survived by his Wife Barbara, Daughter Adrienne Garrington, Granddaughter, Leesa Parkhill-Nieland, and two Great grandchildren, Adam and Madison, as well as a step son Steven Vitebski.

Services will be held on the Jewish side of Glendale Cemetery, Tuesday January 31, 2012 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested to be sent to Tifereth Israel Synagogue.
