Lou D. McClintic, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Bright Kavanagh House. He was born October 20, 1921 in Earlham, IA to Lou, Sr. and Vera McClintic.

Lou married Lillian Thacker on November 13, 1943 in Norfolk, VA. They lived in Des Moines before moving to Bella Vista, AR. Together they enjoyed camping, dancing and visiting family and friends. Lou moved back to Des Moines in 2011.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian, his wife of 64 years; daughter, Bonnie Lou; grandson, Nicholas McClintic and great-grandson, Michael McClintic.

Lou is survived by his son, Michael Lee McClintic, Sr. of Des Moines; five grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and brother, Wilbur McClintic.

A graveside committal service will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 at Chapel Hill Gardens in Des Moines.
