“This is the way to commit suicide,” Charles Slossy, 7 years old, said to friends of his own age at Des Moines. He put a revolver to his head and pulled the trigger. Death came shortly after. The boys had found the revolver, which contained one unexploded cartridge, in an alley.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Dec. 25, 1905 and died Aug. 4, 1913. He is buried in Jewish Glendale Cemetery.
