Florine Pirtle, 78, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was born August 27, 1932, in Chariton, Iowa to Lee and Ola Sparks.

Florine enjoyed going gambling at Prairie Meadows Casino, but most of all she loved spending time with family and friends.

Florine is survived by three sons, Thomas (Patty), Paul Jr. (Dawn) and Kevin (Amy) Pirtle; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m, Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. Family will visit with friends from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
