Jerry Dean White passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in Sun City Center, Florida. Jerry was born on September 10, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa, where he spent his childhood. He graduated from North High School and joined the US Army in 1942. He served as a medic in WWII in the 104th Infantry, the Timberwolf Division, until 1945 and was awarded the Bronze Star. Upon discharge from the Army, Jerry returned to Des Moines and worked for the US Postal Service.

Jerry married Patricia Jean West in 1947 and had two sons; Tim Dean White and Terry Alan White. Upon retirement from the USPS, Jerry and Pat moved to Sun City Center, Florida where they enjoyed golf, tennis and many other activities with new friends. Pat passed away in 1998 and Jerry moved to Aston Gardens in Sun City Center. He soon met Marjorie Ellis and they shared 13 years of loving companionship.

Jerry is survived by his sons, Tim and Terry, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register Thur 21 June 2012.
