Helen Lorraine (Graham) Schrader, 87, of Des Moines, passed away to be with her Lord on May 15, 2011 at The Village in Indianola. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 18 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 19 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in rural Lacona with burial at St Paul Cemetery.

Helen was born October 30, 1923 to Harry and Hazel Graham. She married Ivan Schrader on May 13, 1944, living most of her life around the Milo and Lacona area. She is survived by her two children, Fern (Bill) Wright of Bella Vista, AR and Dale (Karen) Schrader of Des Moines; granddaughters, Lori Boucher of Seattle, WA, Elizabeth (Ed) Copenhagen of Boston, MA and Crystal Schrader of Des Moines; grandsons, DJ (Judy) Boucher of Bristol, TN and Douglas Schrader of Pella; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Karma (Gene) Thompson of Nashville, TN and Donna Eaton of Indianola; brothers, Guy (Joy) Graham of Milo and Martha Graham of Indianola; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan in 1995; sister, Molly Oakley; brothers, Bill, Harry Jr. and John Graham; and her parents.
