Marvin Lee Fried, 79, of Des Moines, formerly of Lakeland, Fl. lost his battle with cancer and passed away on May 15 at the Veteran's Hospital. Marvin was born in Jamestown No. Dakota.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years Helen. He is survived by five children, Jim, Ken, Sheryl, Nadine, and Marsha; brother, Myron Fried and sister, Delores Schlosser; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and special family friend, Evie.

Des Moines services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be at the family plot at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND. Arrangements are pending.
