Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Covington, 71, will be held at noon Saturday, April 2, 2011 at King of Kings Baptist Church. Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. The body will lie instate from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.

Mrs. Covington is survived by her children, Odessa (Clarence) Mackie, Joyce (Donald) Grace, Derek (Sandra) Covington; and a sister/cousin, Mattie Russell; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register 01 April 2011.
