Altoona Rites For Peercy
Services for Raymond Peercy, 69, of 71 E. Hughes Ave., who died of a heart attack Sunday at home, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Moffitt Funeral Home in Altoona. Burial will be in Altoona Cemetery.
A native of Kansas, Mr. Peercy came to Iowa 45 years ago and lived in Des Moines about 17 years. He was a guard at Lewis System.
Survivors are his wife, Cora; four daughters, Mrs. Lucille Jones of Killduff, Mrs. Alice Miles of Des Moines, Mrs. Eva Biggs of Chicago and Mrs. Mary Higdon of St. Louis; three sons, Dale and Arnold of Chicago and Wilbur of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Flora Shue of Portland, Ore., 32 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
