While reading a letter from United States Senator Dolliver in which the senator declared that he had no desire for the vice presidential nomination, O. L. P. Brown, a prominent Iowa insurance man, dropped dead in his rooms at Des Moines of heart failure. Mr. Brown, who was a personal friend of Mr. Dolliver, had written to the senator concerning the vice presidency, and was reading to a friend a letter he had received in reply when he was stricken.
