Death Takes C. Denney

Charles W. Denney, Jr., 54, 301 E. Briggs, died at 2:30 a.m. today following an extended illness.

Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. The body has been willed to the University Hospital in Iowa City.

Charles W. Denney was born April 12, 1920, in Des Moines, the son of Charles and Lida Blackman Denney. He was reared and educated in Des Moines.

A retired veteran of World War II, he had made his home in Fairfield the past five years.

Denney is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Helen Wiles, Billings, Mo.; Mrs. Caroline Meyer, Dearborn, Mich.; and Mrs. Mary Christiansen, Springfield, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
