Lois E. Houseman, 78, of 2318 E. Ninth St. died of a heart ailment Saturday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Graveside services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery. Mrs. Houseman was born in Des Moines and had lived here all her life. She was a retired desk clerk with Holiday Inn. Among survivors are a daughter, Patricia Carmichael of Des Moines; a son, Ronald of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Merle Hay Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Commission for the Blind.
