Friday Rites For Mrs. Ross

Services for Mrs. Myrtle Faye Ross, 68, of 1013 Lyon st., who died Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, after a lengthy illness following surgery will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Visitation Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Glendale cemetery.

Born in Elkhart, Mrs. Ross moved to Des Moines 54 years ago. Before her retirement, she was head of the drapery department at Montgomery Ward and Co.

She was a member of the West Des Moines Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry Fleischacker and Mrs. George Partington, jr., both of Des Moines, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at Arnold’s Highland Park Funeral Home.
