Sue Marie Khan
1955 - 2012
Des Moines

Sue Marie Khan, 57, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Methodist Hospital Des Moines, Iowa.

Sue was born on August 8, 1955 in Clinton Iowa, the daughter of the late Michael Vulich. She is survived by her loving husband Benjamin F. Khan and her mother Helene Vulich. Sue is also survived by her brother Jeff Vulich, her brother Evan Vulich and his wife. She is further survived by the many loving nephews and nieces, which she also loved very much. Many friends and relatives have been close to her during the long battle with her illness.

Sue was a generous loving person who gave of herself freely, without ever seeking anything in return. She had a vibrant and meaningful faith governed by her love and faith in Jesus Christ. She would want her family and friends to know that her death was just a fulfillment of this faith. Sue died with the same grace that she abided in her whole life. She was always a loving and caring wife, who sacrificed without question or restraint. She was generous to a fault giving of her time, talent and treasure. In death she brought peace, to all those around her as she shared her faith and kindness.

Sue would like to thank the nurses and the care givers who attended to her needs while in their care. She felt loved respected and supported by so many of them. She would like to thank the many physicians that not only cared for her, but also became life-long friends: Dr. C. T. Flynn , Dr. Michael Flood, Dr. David Bosler, Dr. William Brown, Dr. Richard Schuster and Dr. David Stubbs.

A memorial service for Sue will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 10.30 a.m. at First Assembly Of God; 2725 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa, with Rev. Steven Beaman officiating.

There will be a private burial in Clinton, Iowa.

Memorial may be made in her honor to Heartland Greyhound Adoption, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register Thurs 13 Sept 2012.
