Michael John Myers
(January 1, 1949 - July 19, 2016)

Michael John Myers, 67, of Altoona, Iowa, died of a stroke complicated by Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease on Tuesday evening at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. Visitation will be Friday evening July 22nd from 6 to 8 p.m at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle, Iowa. Services will be held at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle Sunday at 2 p.m., cremation will follow funeral services with burial of cremains at a later date at Lowman Cemetery in Runnells, Iowa.
Mr. Myers was born in Bagley and moved to Des Moines 63 years ago. He worked as a technician at M&M Sales Company for 42 years before retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; three daughters, Denise Myers (Araceli), Michelle Myers, and Tifany Myers; two step-sons, Jason Heitz (Tanna), and Danny Wilden (Gabrielle); Grandchildren, Britney, Bailey, Jenna, Daniel, Ivan, Hunter, Corbin, Dillon, Tyler, Trenton, Braeden, as well as numerous great grandchildren; his parents, Donal and Joanne Myers, brother, Rick Myers (Gracie), and sisters, Cindy Myers, and Kristi Creech.
