RANDALL SCHABACKER

Randall C. Schabacker, 51, of 3709 S.W. 36th St. died of complications of strep A Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 5 p.m. Friday at Central Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. Additional services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein, with burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery there.

Mr. Schabacker was born in Manchester and had lived in Des Moines 15 years. He was an adviser and revenue officer with the Internal Revenue Service and a member of National Treasury Employees Union.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son Matthew of Des Moines; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Muta of Council Bluffs; a stepson, Michael Muta of West Des Moines; his parents, Norman and Pearl Schabacker, and a brother, Rodney, all of Winthrope; and two sisters, Marcia Sciulli of Garfield Heights, Ohio, and Nancy Eby of Bothell, Wash.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or Wartburg College in Waverly.
