The sudden death of Mrs. Charles Conway occurred last Saturday evening at her home two miles south of this city. Her malady was heart disease.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning and the body was taken to Des Moines for interment.
Emma Walker was born in England, April 27, 1857, and married to Charles Conway January 24, 1875. In 1882 Mr. and Mrs. Conway immigrated to the United States. They have lived in the vicinity of Colfax more than twenty years and are the parents of six daughters and two sons. She was a remarkably vigorous and active woman and possessed a mind of more than average business qualities. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.
