Harry Pardee, 105, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Harry was born Gillespie, IL, and lived in Boone from 1908 until moving to Des Moines in 1929. He was a carpenter by trade and in his retirement years he enjoyed woodworking.

Harry is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Bill) Yost of Morgan Hill, CA, two grandchildren Ruth and Bill; four great-grandchildren, his step daughter, Bonnie Kempka of San Diego, CA, and step daughter-in-law, Helen Shepard of Johnston.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Evelyn Pardee and Regina Pardee.
