John Michael Crivaro passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 in an auto accident. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m.

John Michael was born December 12, 1985, in Des Moines. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 2004. He furthered his education at Grandview College graduating with a degree in Political Science. John Michael worked as a mortgage litigator for Wells Fargo Mortgage Company.

John Michael LOVED music and was an avid concert goer. He loved cartwheels and was known as the "Karaoke King". He loved dancing, cooking, reading, watching and collecting Disney movies, and most of all spending time with his family or hanging out with his buddies. He was also a big sports fan and played many sports in school. He was a life long fan of WWE Wrestling. He was a fan of the San Antonio Spurs, San Diego Padres, Dallas Cowboys, and the ISU Cyclones.

John is survived by his mother, Kim (Steve) Olson, his father, John Crivaro Jr.; sisters, Kelsi (Dan Tedesco) Crivaro and Kacie Crivaro; grandparents, Donna Anderson and John and Fran Crivaro; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, Ashley Carpenter.
