1934 - 2011Ernest Rundle, 76, passed away April 6, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center from injuries suffered from a car accident.
Ernie was born November 10, 1934 in Woodward, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired steel worker. Ernie was the Golden Glove Champion from 1956 to 1958, boxing under the name of "Ernie Martin". He loved fishing and spending his summers on the riverbank with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Chris) Rundle, Mark (Kim) Rundle, Monty (Kendra) Rundle and Marcie (Tom) Morris; brothers, Bill Rundle and Jerry Martin; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his companion, Judy Cox.
He was preceded in death by his wife and soul mate, Deanna and six siblings.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa Sat 9 Apr 2011.
