OBITUARY

Mrs. Elizabeth T. Vorse

Mrs. Elizabeth T. Vorse widow of Dr. J.B. Vorse, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. She was born Feb. 22, 1819, and was a well known old resident, coming to Des Moines in 1849, but had not lived here continuously. None of her family survive her except her grandson, B.B. Vorse, cashier of the Century Savings Bank. Funeral services Friday morning at 10:30 conducted by the Rev. G.A. Scott pastor of the First Methodist Church, of which deceased was an old member, at the residence, 750 West Seventeenth street. The burial in Woodland cemetery will be private. No flowers.
