1929 - 2013 Obituary Condolences Flowers

Glenace Fay O'Connor, Conway, MO, daughter of William Melvin and Esther Fay (Good) Chartier was born December 8, 1929 in Clyde, Kansas and departed this life January 16, 2013 in Mercy Hospital. At the time of her passing she was 83 years of age.

On November 10, 1950 Glenace was united in marriage to Thomas R. O'Connor.

Glenace was an LPN but her family was her greatest achievement and brought her the most happiness in her life. All the love she gave to them was returned to her ten-fold. Her mission in life was to love, nurture and guide her five children, showing them faith, love, imagination and dreams.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Lector and Eucharistic minister. She was a board member at the Senior Citizens Center in Conway, Missouri. She was very active in promoting Steve Jackson for Judge. She enjoyed playing games and cards with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. O'Connor, brother, Dean Chartier, and sister, Madelyn Istas.

Survivors include four daughters; Teresa Ann Johnston and Parker, Smithfield, VA, Mary Kathryn Bristow and Mark, Urbandale, Iowa, Julie Ann Stanger and Dave, Granger, Iowa, Judith Lynne O'Connor-Snyder and Doug, Lebanon, MO, one son; Edward Dean O'Connor and Leslie, Lebanon, MO, nineteen grandchildren, and twenty-four great-grandchildren, four brothers; Ray W. Chartier, Dallas Center, Iowa, Donald M. Chartier and Jan, Urbandale, Iowa, Gene P. Chartier and Linda, Leawood, Kansas, and Dennis R. Chartier and Tom, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Glenace will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her and we will cherish our memories forever.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2013, at Assumption Catholic Church in Granger with burial to follow at Brethren Cemetery near Dallas Center. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7pm Sunday at Iles Funeral Homes-Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Conway Senior Center in Conway, MO.
