Nora Clara Walzer

Nora Clara Walzer, 74, of Riverview Care Center, 701 Riverview Drive, died of cancer Tuesday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry, with burial in Violet Hill Cemetery there.

Mrs. Walzer was born in Chicago and lived in Rippey and Perry before moving to Des MOines in 1973. She was a homemaker and member of Southtown Baptist Church.

Among survivors are five sons, William of Perry, Raymond of Des Moines, Richard of Fort Jones, Calif., James of Sumter, S. C., and ALlen of Fort Smith, Ark.; two daughters, Joann Emmons of Seattle and Judy Elliott of Prole; a brother, Vaughn Rooney of New Jersey; three sisters, Margaret Rooney of California and Virginia Pearson and Freda Nakof, both of Illinois; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa Thur 22 Aug 1991.
