Glenn E. Ritter

Glenn E. Ritter, 59, of 302 S. E. 80th Ave. died of cancer Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Merle Hay Funeral Home, and burial will be in Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Ritter was born in Afton and lived in Des Moines most of his life, retiring from Younkers department stores. He was a veteran of the Army.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys; two sons, Larry of Des Moines and Joe barton of Mount Laurel, N.J.; four daughters, Connie Gillespie of Altoona and DeAnna French, Marlene West and Melinda Marvelli, all of Des Moines; a brother, Richard of Des Moines; a sister, Lois Pellin of Burralo; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa Tues 6 Aug 1991.
