Sueanne Payne, 82, passed away from complications due to brain surgery on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Sueanne was born September 19, 1930 in Woodward, IA to Ben and Minnie Price. She spent 46 years in the Runnells area before moving to Altoona. Sueanne was a member of the Altoona Regular Baptist Church. She loved her family, they were her passion. She was an excellent cook and a fabulous baker. Sueanne gave of herself freely, offering spiritual guidance to many.

Sueanne is survived by her husband of 64 years, Eugene; children, Judy (Steve) Miller, James Payne, Brian (Donna) Price, and John Price; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; two sisters; and her great-granddaughter, Joy.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Hamilton's Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th St SW. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Berwick Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Altoona Regular Baptist Church in loving memory of Sueanne.
