Robert Mingus is Dead at 56

Robert V Mingus, 56, of 753 Seventeenth St, died at Iowa Methodist Hospital Thursday of a heart ailment. He had been ill two years.

He moved to Des Moines four months ago from Council Bluffs where he was employed as a railway mail clerk 16 years. Mr. Mingus was a member of the Methodist Church, Corbia Masonic Lodge at Council Bluffs, and Omaha Nebraska, Post No. 1 American Legion.

Surviving are his wife, Pauline; a son, Robert J, Council Bluffs; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Shea, Chicago, Illinois; mother, Mrs. Julia Mingus, Des Moines; sister, Laura Mingus, Des Moines; two brothers, Thomas Mingus, Chadron, Nebraska, and Joseph Mingus, Des Moines; a stepson, Jack Cain, Bagley; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Gwen Molle, Jefferson and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist Church in Bagley. Burial will be at Dodge Center Cemetery near Bagley.
