Marillyn Mendenhall, 84, passed away September 13, 2012 at Mercy West Lakes Hospital. She was born August 12, 1928 to Edith and Frank Williams in Ottumwa, Iowa and graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1946. She then went to work for John Morrell in the accounting department. Edwin Mendenhall married the love of his life on May 28, 1950. In 1963 they moved to West Des Moines where she became a founding member of the MA Chapter of P.E.O., and an active member of West Des Moines Woman's Club, and Chapter BS of TTT.

She was a loving woman full of grace and compassion with her greatest joys in life being her family and friends. She held a special place in her heart for her only grandson Clark III for whom she was very proud.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 63 years, Edwin L. Mendenhall; daughter, Melinda (Clark) Colby; son, Mark Mendenhall; grandson, Clark Colby III; and sister, Virginia Beatty.
