Richard Dean "Dick" Anderson, 80, of Pleasant Hill died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 at Iles Funeral Homes - Grandview Park Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.

Dick was born in Des Moines on September 6, 1932 to Sigfred and Edith (Carlson) Anderson. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Local 33 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union for over 60 years.

Dick is survived by his wife of 48 years, Georgia of Pleasant Hill; six children, Marjorie Anderson, Bill Dakovich, Diana (Ken) Hartzer, Gary (Tobie) Anderson, Teri (Tim) Neal and Derek (Bree) Anderson; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Anderson and two sisters, Jeanine Still and Delores Zuck.
