Services for James Wilson, 70, of 1230 Seventieth St., who died Friday at the Adel Acres Care Center in Adel after a long illness, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Westover Funeral Home with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Scotland, Mr. Wilson lived in Des Moines the past 68 years. He was a retired brick mason foreman and was a member of the Brick Layers Union Local No. 2, the West Gate Masonic Lodge, and the Windsor United Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Vera of Des Moines; a daughter, Jane Blythe of Des Moines; a brother, Floyd Wilson of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
