Lionel Barrett, born December 23, 1927 in Polk City, IA died December 28, 2010 in Seattle, WA. He was 83 years old.

Lionel graduated from Polk City High School in 1945. Post-secondary education included Kletzing College, Drake University and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Lionel married Dorothy Ann Westlund on March 12, 1948. To this union was born five children: Greg, Colleen, Nancy (deceased), Brad, and Brent. Throughout his ministerial career, Lionel pastored several EFCA churches. He also served on several denominational boards.

Lionel is survived by his wife, four children, twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and his siblings; Ailene Mally, Robert Barrett, and Dale Barrett. He is preceded in death by his parents, Milo amd Lola (Sutter) Barrett; a daughter, Nancy Ostlie; grandchildren, Geoffrey Barrett and Colin Ostlie; and his sister-in-law, Miriam (Robert) Barrett.
