Funeral services for Gertrude A. Utterbeck, age 63, of Altoona, Iowa were held Tuesday, June 5 at the Altoona Funeral Home with burial in the Altoona Cemetery.

Gertrude A. O"Meara, daughter of James D. and Cecelia (Fitzgerald) O'Meara, was born July 28, 1926. * The obituary did not give a place of birth. * She lived in Des Moines, Iowa before moving to Altoona, Iowa ten years ago. She was a saleswoman for J.C. Penney Company.

She is survived by her husband, James Utterbeck; a daughter, Marlene Bloes of Des Moines, Iowa, 2 sons, Joseph Utterbeck of Waterloo, Iowa, Nicholas Utterbeck of Texas; 2 step-daughters, Kimberly Johnston of Des Moines, Iowa and Lisa Tate of Topeka, Kansas; 2 step-sons, T.J. Utterbeck of Norwalk, Iowa and Jeff Utterbeck of Carlisle, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Crowley of New Albin, Iowa and Justine O'Malley of McHenry, Illinois.
