Dale V. Wooldridge

Services for Dale V. Wooldridge, 74, of 1112 Sixth Ave. will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Wooldridge died of a heart ailment Monday at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born in Knoxville, Mr. Woodridge lived in Des Moines 19 years. He was a security guard at the Iowa statehouse and was the retired operator of the former Wooldridge Hotel on Eight Street.

Surviving are his wife, Orpha Betty; nine sons, Robert of Newton, Bill of Des Moines, Raymond of Fort Myers, Fla., and Edward, Danny, Jack, Charles, Donald and Marvin, all of Knoxville; five daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Schrader and Mrs. Jane Bales, both of Dallas, Mrs. Wanda Sellers of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Mary Pregon of Knoxville and Mrs. Jo Ann Cameron of Granada Hills, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Joy Boody of Cedar Rapids; 31 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
